One of South Africa’s oldest Sevens rugby tournaments kicks off its 52nd anniversary, taking place at the famous club’s headquarters, Brookside in Claremont, on September 1, 2023. It lays claim to being the longest unbroken schools’ Sevens tournament in the world.

Our mission at the Villager Schools’ Seven-A-Side Rugby Championship is to cultivate a sense of togetherness, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among neighbouring schools through the exhilarating medium of fast-paced seven-a-side rugby. Our championship aims to provide a platform that goes beyond the competition itself, striving to nurture a stronger sense of community, friendship, and healthy rivalry.
