Ceramics

Clay is such a versatile medium to work in. It can be used in many different ways to give a range of tactile and practical experiences - we use soft or 'leather hard' clay for modelling and hand-building and wet, slippery clay for throwing on the potters wheel .

Sculpture & Animation

Sculpture & Animation workshop is offered by Workshop 305 for all skill level. The workshops are not restricted by age or by ability but are made up of a mix of people all interested in working in that particular area.

Art Workshop

The art sessions allow for broad experimentation using different surfaces and media including watercolour, acrylics and oil-pastel on paper, canvas and board to the use of collage, video and camera work.

Pottery

If you are new to pottery then over the first weeks of the workshop you will be shown the basics for working with clay from making thumb-pots and coil building to tile making and throwing on the wheel; this will also include simple decorating and glazing techniques.

Woodworking

Dexterity is practiced using hand tools and small power tools, with a strong understanding of health and safety being built in to all learning.
