This course is for people who handle and store chemicals or hazardous substances in the workplace.  This unit expires at the end of 2022, and can be replaced by one or more of the options below, depending on your needs.

This course is designed to train workers to identify the health and safety risks of the chemicals at work and correctly apply controls designed to minimise their exposure to these risks.

Under the Health & Safety at Work ( Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) is required to have one or more certified handlers if your workplace uses, handles, manufactures or stores certain hazardous substances.
