This course is designed to train people to identify the health and safety risks of the chemicals in a workplace; and to identify, select and apply the legislated and other controls designed to minimise the exposure of workers to these risks, and ensure the proper reporting.

This course has designed to cover a broad range of topics in relation to workplace and industry awareness of chemicals, dangerous goods, and hazardous substances. This course can be for an introductory level person, or someone wanting to upskill and advance.

Under the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017, the training requirements are in place for all people working with hazardous substances. This is more stringent than the previous regulations.
