This very intensive one year part time course is designed to equip students with the specific skills needed for a career in a pastry kitchen, as well as a comprehensive understanding of food purchasing, costing and storage.
This course is also open to and specifically designed for people in full-time employment who are looking to upgrade their existing qualifications or make an exciting new career change.
Classes are held every Monday from 7:00am – 5:30pm during the school’s calendar year.

Quiches & Tarts class is offered by My Easy Cooking. We offer cooking classes in our studio and we can customize them to your clients needs. We can do traditionalSouth African cuisine, Seafood from the West Coast or teach a traditional Malay menu.
Pastry Course is offered by Midrand Baking School.
This programme has been designed to provide a range of skills appropriate for a person working in a kitchen specialising in desserts, cakes and decoration.
During this workshop you’ll prepare your very own rough puff pastry to make herbed pork sausage rolls, cheese twists and an absolute classic party treat, vol au vents.
This programme is more specialised and provides in-depth knowledge of the Patisserie (Pastry).
