Inspired by travels throughout Italy, we share our favourite Italian dishes in our special 'A Day in Italy' cooking class. Based on a traditional trattoria menu we will make antipasto dishes, pasta, risotto, bake bread and a delicious dessert that will transport you to Italy for the day.
Cooking and eating is absolutely central to family life in Italy and a long lunch around the schools large oak dining table with matching wines will follow the demonstrations. Arrive at 10am for tea / coffee and freshly baked pastries and the day will finish up around 4pm.
There is a growing awareness of the importance of eating well. With the rapid rise of fast foods and processed foods over the past 50 years many people have forgotten or never learned how to cook proper healthy meals.
We want to change this trend and show people that cooking healthy nutritious meals can be fun, quick and easy.
We share our passion for cooking using the best ingredients possible and show you that cooking doesn’t have to be a chore but can be rewarding and a lot of fun.
From planning a menu to sourcing the best ingredients, where to shop and how to stock your pantry a day with us will leave you feeling inspired and indulged.
Additionally we highlight how easy and economical it can be to grow your own produce and emphasise the importance of eating together. Ultimately we want to bring ‘real’ food back into everyday life.

We spend the day celebrating Italian cuisine and culture. In particular, we will explore the flavours of Modena. Firstly you will be welcomed with typical Italian ‘stuzzichini’ and either a Moka coffee (a true Italian coffee), juice, or a glass of bubbles.

We start by mixing the pasta dough and kneading till smooth, then resting, rolling and cutting the dough to make tagliatelle. This is then cooked and served with a seasonal sauce, followed by dessert. For ages 8-16.
Discover how simple it is to make and cook your own fresh pasta in this hands-on weekend course. Learn the techniques of making pasta dough, rolling it out, cutting into fettuccine or filling and shaping into ravioli or tortellini, before using in a variety of dishes.
