Acro Dance is a genre of dance which incorporates elements of gymnastics, jazz, tumbling and basic contortion. Students learn acrobatic tricks such as handstands, cartwheels, chest rolls, elbow stands, walkovers and aerials.
Trick movements are executed slowly to emphasize body lines, a graceful motion and picturesque extension. Acro Dance offers more depth and variety to choreography and creates a much more versatile dancer.
