The program was formed beginning the 17 | 18 Season and represents Atlanta Ballet’s continued commitment to training dancers for professional careers. Atlanta Ballet 2 is the pathway to becoming an Atlanta Ballet Company member.
Atlanta Ballet 2 dancers are from all over the world and represent the artistic vision of Artistic Director Gennadi Nedvigin. These young individuals are dancers who have arrived at a defining point in their transitions to becoming professional dancers. They will receive individual classes and coaching from esteemed faculty mentors.
The intense level of training, opportunities to rehearse with the Company and experiences of their own performances help mold the young artists’ awareness of the high expectations demanded of professional company members.
The position involves taking Atlanta Ballet 2 classes, in addition to select Company classes and rehearsing with the Company on a daily basis. There are several opportunities to perform with the
Atlanta Ballet company in larger productions such as The Nutcracker, full-length ballets, and the family program, which feature Atlanta Ballet 2 dancers in leading roles. Atlanta Ballet 2 also has its own performances of selected repertoire around the metro Atlanta area.

In 1996, Atlanta Ballet opened the Centre for Dance Education (CDE), which is dedicated to nurturing young dancers while providing an outlet for adults to express their creativity.
The CDE serves over 23,000 people in metro Atlanta each year. Atlanta Ballet's roots remain firmly grounded in the Atlanta community and continue to play a vital role in the city's cultural growth and revitalization.

Beginner/Intermediate Ballet features professional dancer and Koresh Company Member alumni Fang Ju-Chou. This class is perfect for students who have prior Ballet experience and the desire to transition into the intermediate level.
Civic Dance Arts Adult Intermediate Ballet 3A - This is a 90 minute class designed for the ballet dancer who can execute all steps from previous levels with proficiency. The first 45 minutes are spent learning how to execute more intricate steps with speed at ballet barre.
BALLET is one of the more popular Dances taught at Genas -- Usually Ballet is a Great way to start out in beginning classes. Tap and  Ballet usually are recommended for new students.
Provides the technical foundation for all dance. It develops coordination, grace, muscle toning, poise, good posture, flexibility, stamina and endurance.
Ballet dance classes are offered by Volume Performance Center for beginners. On the floor exercise to increase flexibility. Proper posture at the beginning and ending of class move in time with the music. Execute specific ballet moves without demonstration.Â
