The foundation of all dance genres. Students are highly encouraged to study ballet first or along with other genres of dance.
Ballet is an artistic dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Classical ballet, which originated in Renaissance Italy and established its present form during the 19th century, is characterized by light, graceful, and fluid movements
Proper ballet training stresses pulling up (using strong muscles of the stomach, back and bottom to pull the body up and off of the legs, allowing the dancer to move with strength and grace.
Students ages 7 and up are invited to participate in a one-hour ballet class. Â Our disciplined, yet encouragement-based technique class offers the student a clear understanding of ballet terminology, proper body lines, and alignment.
Developed by master teacher  Beverly Spell and child psychologist Dr. Annie Spell, Leap ‘N Learn is an early childhood dance program that teaches ballet to children.
