It enables students to develop their posture, balance, poise, flexibility, self-discipline and musicality. Classes progress through barre and centre work combinations and finish with a routine.
DanceWorks Geelong is an all inclusive dance studio who offers dance classes for all abilities, from Toddlers to Adults.
Formally owned by Jana Kolacz, DanceWorks Geelong is now owned and operated by Dimi Sunderland. Dimi has a wealth of experience in dance training and education and strives to provide quality dance education to each student who steps foot in the studio. Dimi has a keen interest developing her student’s technical ability as well as ensuring they are learning in a fun and inclusive environment.

All classes are taught by well trained, passionate and qualified dance educators, who have a strong interest in instilling their love of dance in their students. Classes can be taken for fun and fitness or for the more serious dancer with interest in making their dance passion into a career.
The course covers the most rudimentary aspects of ballet, including posture, turn out, and placement at the barre and in the centre
Ballet training forms the foundation of dance technique. The skills acquired through sound ballet training infiltrate and assist in the development of all styles of dance. At VPA Studios, RAD Ballet classes will be provided for both examination and non-examination students.
Classical ballet is great for developing strength in posture, co-ordination, body control and awareness. At Upstaged Dance we offer ballet lessons to children 2 years of age and above (with a very broad introductory approach), through to seniors. Pointe work is also available.
Classical Ballet Dance Lessons are offered by Academy Dance Studios. For the serious student who has the desire, motivation and physical facility to pursue a career in dance, our industry experts will work with you and offer you the training, support and guidance in achieving your goals.
Modern Ballet dance classes are offered by Toongabbie Dance Centre. Modern Ballet is a cross between the jazz ballet and classical ballet style of dance with no ‘pointe’ work involved.
