Early ballet classes focus on developing correct technique whilst having fun using imagination games and exercises to develop our inner ballerina.
As classes get older and more complex, dancers work on gaining more understanding of ballet terminology, ballet steps, and anatomy.
Once dancers reach Senior level, we encourage our dancers to either choose to go on pointe and continue their ballet journey, or to maintain their ballet technique as a tool for other dance styles.
Exams are offered from age 5 and are a good way to measure progress and have a goal to work towards.

This is a one-hour open ballet class with a barre, centre practice and allegro.
Ballet is a formalized style of dance to create expression through movement. At Auckland Academy of Dance, we teach the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabi from Pre School— Solo Seal.
Open ballet class combined with pointe work (for students pre-approved by the teacher). This is an intermediate level class for teenagers with previous ballet or jazz experience.
Beginner Ballet is a more informative and ballet-specific class, with a focus on learning the basics of ballet required in a creative yet structured way.
