Royalty Dance Academy opened in 2005 all because of a dream! I had just graduated college and had finished competition in the Miss Texas Pageant and decided it was time to fulfill a dream of mine that I had had since the 7th grade, to open my own dance studio!
I hired a consultant and the first step we did was put together a business plan to submit to the bank for a small business loan! Once the loan was approved I found a location to rent in the RISE and within 3 months the doors to Royalty Dance Academy were opened!
I wanted a studio where every girl who walked through my doors will feel special and would feel like a princess! I wanted to combine my love for dance with the glitz and glamour of pageants that I loved so much, and that is where the name “Royalty Dance Academy” came from!
My first year I had 85 students, one teacher (me) and one dance room! Now I have over 300 students, 12 people on staff and my own property with 3 dance rooms! God is good!!! – Amy Connolly, Owner, Royalty Dance Academy, Rockwall, TX.
This class is the student’s first introduction to formal ballet class structure.
Proper ballet training stresses pulling up (using strong muscles of the stomach, back and bottom to pull the body up and off of the legs, allowing the dancer to move with strength and grace.
In order to create a positive, inquisitive and highly focused learning environment, I honor each student’s physical individuality and unique learning process.
Developed by master teacher Beverly Spell and child psychologist Dr. Annie Spell, Leap ‘N Learn is an early childhood dance program that teaches ballet to children.
Studio J offers Ballet dance classes for students of all ages and abilities the opportunity to express themselves and their faith through the gift of dance. We seek to instill a love of dance, music, community, and the appreciation of the performing arts in our students.
