The school teaches the RAD syllabus, the most renowned global system.
Ballet commences at Kinder level, where the children learn the very beginnings of classical ballet without the pressure of exams but with the fun of the annual recital at the end of the year. It then moves fro Pre Primary to Solo Seal with every level in between with the opportunity to sit exams and prepare for a professional career in dance.
The school, founded in 1957 by Miss Ann Roberts AO, is now in the hands of daughter, Jane and her husband André Reynaud.

The school is proud to say that many of its past students have pursued a career in the world of dance. To name a few, are Natalie Weir – Expressions Director and choreographer, Kurt Phelan – professional dancer, choreographer and actor, Tim Coleman – Singapore Ballet; Emmanuel Reynaud - Footnote Dance Company; and many of our former students are now professional teachers and examiners of dance.
TJS Dance Academy offers a vast array of classical ballet grades, suitable for every student, under the association of The Royal Academy of Dance.
The basis to all dance styles is Ballet, teaching core technique that all students should do if serious about dance.
Learning the foundations in Classical Ballet is integral to every Dancer’s training. At TPS we teach the RAD Syllabus and offer students the opportunity to sit their RAD examinations, gaining a formal and recognised level of achievement
This class is a structured ballet class suitable for ages 2 years of age to school age. Students will learn the basic ballet positions of the feet and arms and learn age appropriate choreography and technique.
Prep age onwards – Strength, posture, flexibility, musicality, coordination, focus and more. ABDS follows the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. Exams are offered to selected students meeting the required amount of classes and standard.
