Ballet classes are divided into levels depending on age and ability. The levels are created according to the structure of the Paris Opera Ballet School.

Please note that the Ballet instructor will assess each student and assign a level that is appropriate for the student’s age and ability.
Classical Ballet is offered at all levels:
Introduction 1: 3-4yrs
Introduction 2: 4-5yrs
Foundation: 6-7yrs
Pre-Division: 7-9yrs
Division 1: 9-11yrs
Division 2: 11-13yrs
Division 3: 13yrs+
The Dance Place at Forum, Orchard Road is a dance school in Singapore. We offer dance classes for kids and adults in Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Flexibility & Movement, Floor Barre, Hip Hop, Jazz Dance, K-Pop, Musical Theatre, Performance Skills, Song & Dance, Street Dance and Tap. We also offer adult dance fitness and exercise classes in Bollywood Dance Fitness, Pilates Stretch & Tone and Yoga.
TDP class levels are advised by age, as well as ability and experience. We will always arrange a complimentary Trial Class beforehand to make sure that each student is placed in the correct class and level. TDP Elite Performance classes are by invitation only. Students in these classes are expected to attend a certain number of classes per week and also hold a level of commitment to the classes and performances.
Apart from learning Ballet movements, body control, flexibility and proper alignment, Ballet also develops cognitive thinking, builds discipline, confidence and cultivates good posture and poise
This class is inspired by Classical Ballet warm-up exercises but are on the floor, instead of at the Barre.
Baby Gems is unique to The Academy of Dance (TAD) and it is written by Ms June Lee. It is a one year dance programme comprising of a series of exercises that are both enjoyable and technically beneficial to children age 3-4 years old.
These dancers will be carefully nurtured and groomed to take their dancing to the next level.
Ballet develops a sense of movement, promotes self-discipline and improves motion control and balance as well as improves posture and helps to coordinate mind and body.
