DurationBallet is an artistic dance form performed to music. Classical ballet is characterized by light, graceful movements and the use of pointe shoes with reinforced toes as the student progresses.

As the only dance school in Whangarei with a purpose-built fully furbished dance studio, WADPA has everything located under one roof. Our fully qualified and registered staff teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatic, and Contemporary Dance.
We teach age and developmentally appropriate Ballet, Tap, and Jazz dance technique classes from a syllabus that allows younger students more time for movement exploration while providing advanced students with the tools to become professional dancers.
Classical Ballet Technique has long been the foundation to poise and grace. Danzworx offers classes following the NZAMD syllabus for our 6-10 year olds, with exams available.
 All students are there to have fun and enjoy dance in a safe, friendly and positive way. Any disruptive or unsafe behaviour will be reported, and if it continues the child will be excluded from class.
Ballet classes are offered from 5 years, Pre-Primary through to Advanced 2 and Adults.Â
With an emphasis on a fun, friendly environment students can focus on enjoying dance in a supportive environment.
During a private lesson, dancers can expect to work on specific areas of syllabus, improve general technique and apply corrections, and be taken through a dance-specific strength and conditioning program designed just for them.Â
