This 4-day course will teach participants how to create amazing cakes and cupcakes for their own functions or their community’s small functions like christenings and weddings
Participants will learn how to understand recipes and be able to prepare, bake, decorate and present a delicious cake or cupcake. This course is presented to participants of all levels of ability to learn practical skills needed to decorate cakes and cupcakes with confidence.
From plain buttercream icing to fancy fondant and drip cakes. You will also learn how to use a piping bag. The baking sessions will be demonstration and hands on.

This Workshop is all about 3D cupcakes! All the kids’ characters will be covered. Any special requests will be handled during the day.
This Course covers the fundamentals of making both traditional and contemporary Wedding Cakes. The Course is facilitated by the well-established Kate de Waal from Sugar ‘n Ice – Handmade Cakes of Distinction.
We will learn to make a wedding cake - covering "dummies" with fondant. Doing the correct piping techniques.
This course consists of 4 classes and is based on the basics of buttercream, ganache and fondant. It is mostly for beginners, but anyone is welcome.
