Our mission is to educate the building and design communities and policymakers on the benefits of ready mixed concrete, and encourage its use as the building material of choice for low- to mid-rise structures.
No other material can replicate concrete’s advantages in terms of strength, durability, safety and ease of use.
What We Offer
We deliver numerous programs, services, education and networking opportunities to enhance the competitiveness, safety and environmental stewardship of our members.
This course will provide the student with an understanding of behaviour and design of reinforced concrete and masonry products based on the latest National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and Concrete Design handbooks.
Programs are on a regularly scheduled basis but are limited for space.
During this six-week program, students will become well-versed in the fundamentals of concrete reinforcing, including the types of reinforcing materials, reinforcement placement, and the role of reinforcement in enhancing the structural integrity of concrete structures.
This course is for anyone who is involved with concrete and who wants to enhance their basic knowledge of the subject.
This unique and popular course has been run seven times previously and consists of lectures covering chemistry, and physics
