It may also provide a pathway to work in kitchen operations in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops; and institutions such as aged care facilities, hospitals, prisons, and schools.
This course provides skills and knowledge in hygiene, basic cookery and kitchen organisation. You will develop your abilities in time management, multi-tasking and communication in a fast-paced environment as well as developing an understanding in the importance of hygiene awareness.

This Nationally Recognised course teaches the knowledge and skills required to use hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food in the workplace. It will do this by teaching hygiene and food safety procedures and standards, how to identify workplace hygiene hazards.
This (8) eight-hour course incorporates both Level 1 Food Safety and Level 2 Food safety Supervisor* the knowledge requirements to handle food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food.
The course is accredited, nationally recognised and on successfully completing the course the student with achieve a Statement of Attainment in HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices.
