Let our chef help you create iconic French dishes, whilst perfecting your cooking techniques. Being able to create the basics well, is a skill which we can all learn from and use often in the kitchen.
At this French class we will make:
Starter - Mackerel Pate
Main Course - Steak au Poivre with Pomme Dauphinoise
Dessert - Dark Chocolate and Orange Mousse
We will also demonstrate to you our quick French Baguette which you can enjoy with your pate.
This class lasts approximately 3 hours with plenty of time to cook the dishes, sit back and enjoy your meal with a complimentary drink. It also includes a recipe pack to take home.
We offer a range of day and evening cooking classes for all ages and abilities. Each class will teach you the skills they needed to make delicious dishes that can be prepared quickly or in advance to be enjoyed with family and friends at home.
Our classes are informal and relaxed, but well structured and feature a mix of demonstration and hands-on cooking. At the end of most classes you will sit down together to enjoy the food that has been cooked along with a glass of wine, coffee or tea.
Learn how you too can make them, plus gateau St Honore. Skills you will learn include making a fool proof pate à choux, baking techniques, crème patissier, caramel, melting chocolate, using puff pastry and gelatine. Also how choux pastry can be used to make savoury snacks.
