This programme, through a learner-focused progression plan, will further develop your core construction skills at Level 1 by completing the 6706-13 Diploma in Construction. It will teach you the core skills involved in joinery.
You will cover building methods and technology used within the industry, as well as key joinery skills such as halving and housing joints. You will also extend your knowledge of the fundamental elements of health and safety practices on a joinery site.

This course is a great introduction to woodworking. The course is for one day, and you will be using hand and power tools to make this box in solid oak and contrasting top. During the day you will learn cutting, planing, and machining techniques.
