Alive Dance Academy was founded in 2014 by Lisa Price when she recognized a need for a local dance school in Kariong. Miss Alyssa Shields took over as Principal in 2019 with the goal to continue to grow the studio.

Cheerleading is what most people recognise from the movie “Bring it on". We teach the American style Cheerleading with correct technique and terminology. It is a fast paced, dynamic sport that encompasses stunt, tumbling, tosses and dance & requires dedication and a strong work ethic.
Students who show dedication and skill get selected for troupe. They are required to do ballet, jazz and tap within the Academy. They perform around Darwin and even travel interstate for competitions. The Darwin Performance Academy troupe girls were the official cheerleaders for the NT Thunder.
Cheerleading classes are offered by Centre Stage Dance Studios. Catering for 5-18yrs. Teaches Pom techniques and basic stunts.
A wonderful combination of jazz, acrobatics, gymnastics and the fun use of poms!
This class is all about having FUN while holding POM POMS! This is a mix between our Backstreet Jazz/Funk and Cheerleading.
