This class doesn’t include acrobatics or tumbling. It does include teamwork, lifts, cartwheels and a lot of formations. It’s all about having spirit and energy!
Students in POM POM class wear plain black jazz shoes.

An upbeat and energetic combination of dance, acrobatics and stunting. Currently becoming increasingly more popular from the Netflix show 'Cheer' this is one not to miss in 2021!
Cheerleading classes are offered by Centre Stage Dance Studios. Catering for 5-18yrs. Teaches Pom techniques and basic stunts.
Cheerleading is a dynamic and fun sport which involves components such as tumbling, jumps, stunting, dance, strength & fitness. There is both a competitive & recreational side to the sport which promotes both friendships & team work to gain the best results. Â
Students who show dedication and skill get selected for troupe. They are required to do ballet, jazz and tap within the Academy. They perform around Darwin and even travel interstate for competitions. The Darwin Performance Academy troupe girls were the official cheerleaders for the NT Thunder.
