Cheerleading is a dynamic and fun sport which involves components such as tumbling, jumps, stunting, dance, strength & fitness. There is both a competitive & recreational side to the sport which promotes both friendships & team work to gain the best results.

Cheerleading is what most people recognise from the movie “Bring it on". We teach the American style Cheerleading with correct technique and terminology. It is a fast paced, dynamic sport that encompasses stunt, tumbling, tosses and dance & requires dedication and a strong work ethic.
Students who show dedication and skill get selected for troupe. They are required to do ballet, jazz and tap within the Academy. They perform around Darwin and even travel interstate for competitions. The Darwin Performance Academy troupe girls were the official cheerleaders for the NT Thunder.
An upbeat and energetic combination of dance, acrobatics and stunting. Currently becoming increasingly more popular from the Netflix show 'Cheer' this is one not to miss in 2021!
