DurationOur confined spaces courses cover NZQA unit standards 18426 Hazards of a confined space and 17599 Plan a confined space entry. As understanding how to correctly use a gas detector is essential for anyone entering a confined space, we include Unit standard 25510 Operate an atmospheric testing device in the course.
We can deliver this training either at our purpose built training sites at Timaru or Napier, or we’ll come to your site and work within your confined spaces.

Courses
Courses include working at height training, confined spaces and gas detection, hazard identification, rescue team training, dangerous goods license endorsement, breathing apparatus, fire extinguisher and evacuation warden training, handling hazardous substances and health and safety representative courses.

During this four-hour course, learners will understand how to work safely on-site, how to promote a strong health and safety awareness and improve culture on-site. In addition, identify hazards and safe use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP), scaffolds and nets.
The course resources are designed to provide anyone who drives a special type vehicle that isn’t a forklift on a road with the required skills and knowledge for safe operation in any applicable environment. A separate endorsement applies for Wheels (W), Tracks (T) and Rollers (R).
