Capitol Dance Company has been serving San Jose and the South Bay Area since 1978, educating students two years old to sixty years young in the art of dance. For over 43 years, we have grown and expanded while maintaining our positive reputation for quality dance instruction. Our modern dance classes for adults are taught with contemporary dance class influences at American Dance Institute. Classes start with a simple and effective warm-up to build strength and to stimulate core connections and body awareness.
This class begins with a full body warm-up, moves into technique building across the floor exercises and ends with a new combination each week.
Contemporary II (Senior) dance classes are offered for all levels, modern classes begin as a creative movement with both classical and contemporary technique being introduced as students advance.
