Students will learn floor work, contracting and releasing the center of the body; kinesthetic awareness, and improvisation skills.
Established in 2008, PHD continues to excel in the field of dance training and performance in the North Dallas community. In 2020, we received a “Best Of Dallas Award” in the category of Dance Studios! Our instructors are passionate and committed to their students.
We offer a variety of classes for all ages and levels in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary dance, hip-hop, lyrical, and competition team/drill prep. Our staff consists of trained professionals with backgrounds in the Cecchetti, RAD, and Vaganova methods, pilates, and early childhood development.
Contemporary Dance Classes are offered by Purdance for all ages and skill level. Purdance provides students with dance experiences that celebrate the individual growth and the creative process. We are dedicated to providing high quality, rigorous training in a non-competitive environment.
Advanced students over age 10 may be invited to study the newest genre embraced by formally trained dancers. Â Core work fall and recovery, expressive musicality, speed changes, effort/shape work, creativity, versatility in embodying different choreographic styles.
