Susan's Danstudio has been teaching children to dance since 1984. With over 30 years experience & dedicated teachers, we strive to give children the best training possible in a fun & family caring environment.
Contemporary Dance is the newest addition to our range of classes. This class specifically allows young individuals to develop their dance technique and improve co-ordination & posture with our specialist tutor.
Contemporary classes are offered by Southampton Dance Academy. Southampton Dance Academy work extremely hard to share our extensive and constantly evolving knowledge of dance with children and adults, utilising inspiring music and excellent syllabi in beautiful spaces.

Though contemporary dance styles have been borrowed from classical and jazz dance, they are often considered as an innovative modern dance. It essentially focuses on your legwork, floor-work, fall and recovery methods.
Contemporary is a creative yet challenging dance genre. Students are taught various techniques within this genre from Graham to Release technique and also encouraged to have a creative input into class. A great class for those who enjoy expression and freedom of movement.
