The positions and steps taught are the 'foundations' for building on more complex movements in various dance styles on offer at 6th Position. Expect to gain more confidence with your dance movement.
This class is run in four week blocks. Although you are welcome to join at any time, we recommend completing the full four weeks.

This class will focus on all aspects of ballet technique including barre work, centre and stretching. You’ll feel elegant, graceful and will see a noticeable difference in your posture and the way you carry yourself in no time.
This course is ideal for late teens and students currently in high school. The one year course is designed to provide preparatory training for students seeking to achieve a high level of competency in dance, with a view to pursuing a career in musical theatre or commercial dance.
Progressing Ballet Technique is a body strengthening programme focusing on alignment, weight placement and core strength. These exercises help students engage the muscles responsible for turnout and is a great programme for improving ballet technique and preventing injuries.
We are proud to follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet syllabus. This program spans from Primary to Pointe levels, and includes both non-examination and examination classes.
