Learning the drums at Maunder’s is a great way to explore your musical abilities while building your confidence and allowing you to have fun in the process. All our drum teachers specialise in a variety of genres which means we will have no trouble finding the right tutor for you.
Drums are one of the coolest instruments around (even if we do say so ourselves) and here at Maunder’s, we offer a variety of drum lessons for all ages and abilities to help you bring out your creative side.
Our high quality drum kits allow all our learners the chance to experience what it’s like to play on a professional kit that feels great and sounds great, too! Our acoustically treated drum booth is the perfect environment for learning.
It’s not just our kits that make Maunder’s the place to be to learn the drums, we’re also really proud to have a fantastic team of drum teachers too. We cover all styles from rock and pop to blues and funk. So if you fancy learning a percussion instrument, and you have a particular style in mind you’d like to try, let us know and we will find a teacher who can accommodate you.
Guitar, singing, drums, keyboard & piano, bass, band sessions, one-to-one lessons, showcase performances… Welcome to the Maunder’s community!
Founded in 2008 by professional musician, Neil Maunder, our school has established itself as Manchester’s go-to provider for music lessons and tuition for all ages and levels.
If you’re an established player or you’ve never picked up an instrument before, our modern facilities and committed teachers will help you achieve your goals. We offer both in person, face-to-face lessons from our school in Manchester as well as online lessons worldwide.
Learning the drums to play solo or part of a band can be one of the most rewarding challenges we offer. While we mainly focus on rock basics our advanced students usually expand their styles to Funk, Jazz and Samba. Learning technical exercises are made fun from the very start.
Every band needs good drummer, we’ll teach you everything from basic beats to epic fills.
Whether you’re looking to play the drums for the first time, brush up on your skills after a break from making music, or aiming to get a distinction at Grade 8, our experienced and highly qualified music educators will help you on your journey to learning to play the drums.
A modern drum kit consists of a snare drum, bass drum, hi-hat, cymbals and tom-toms. It’s also now possible to use electric drum kits with headphone, which parents seem to quite like.
Drum classes are offered by BANG Drum School. There are two acoustic drum kits for every lesson, meaning our students spend their entire lesson behind the kit, ensuring maximum playing time and enjoyment.
