As resident drummer for Richard Loring’s Theatre in Girl Talk for 5 years, resident drummer for Radio Jacaranda’s Host Martin Bester for 4 years, and opening act for One Direction’s South African Tour and numerous other bands and shows, both locally and internationally, Sonnet has paved the way to show that it doesn’t matter who you are, when you start, or why you start, if you put in the work and have the right attitude, dreams can come true.
Sonnet is also endorsed by major drum brands, TAMA Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Remo Skins and Sky Gel Int.
Sonnet is a very passionate, fun teacher and her main focus is on inspiring students and arming them with solid skills to reach their full potential in drums and beyond. Lessons are catered for each individual student at all levels, beginner to advanced.
We are a Music School based in Randburg, Johannesburg, operating since 2011.
We have a great group of qualified professional tutors with years of teaching and performing experience.
Our tutors are result-oriented, while making the learning process joyful. Though it might sound a bit presumptuous, - our tutors know how to teach and do it of quality.

For any age group (kids from 4 years old to seniors), level of skills (beginners and advanced) and music goals (hobby, career, exams, band...) we have right approach and teaching techniques.
The Performance Academy offers drums lessons for any level of player from beginning to advanced and anyone in between.
Good Wave Music Academy offers music lessons on Drums at a professional standard. We accept students from ages 5/6 and up. With great passion for what we do, a real love for teaching music and a client service delivered at a professional standard, you are bound to smile being enrolled with us.
