The course includes: typical hazards, risks, harm, basics of volts / watts / amps / resistance (no calculations required), understanding the basics of cable sizes, safe systems / procedures, SELV, 110 volt, RCD, overview of PAT testing, how to detect / identify cables buried in walls and ceilings, floors and underground, basics of overhead cables safety (high voltage) and underground cable hazards, mains supplies, electrical appliance safety, installation safety, waste and WEEE Regs, EMF, investigation and basic thermal image technology, earth protection, IP ratings and their meaning and safety relevance, control systems and introduction to permits, and case studies with evaluation and guidance on standards to require when using electrical contractors and safe systems of work. This is a well developed interactive course.
