When looking for a music teacher it is important to have a comfortable and friendly relationship.
The teacher would be able to gauge the student's current level and teach at a pace and in a way that the student can follow. Good communication and input from the student is important to an enjoyable experience.
Whangarei Youth Music is a self funding, family orientated organisation created in 1980 to provide opportunities for the young people of Whangarei and surrounding areas to develop their musical skills and to experience the enjoyment of playing music together.
Our organisation is run by dedicated volunteers who manage and organise our groups to achieve excellence in public events and concerts. We invite you to participate in Whangarei Youth Music either as a volunteer or as a budding musician and see how you too can increase your love of music.
Exams for instruments are available at the student's request, however at Excite Academy our focus is on learning to not only play, but perform.
At Ignite Arts Academy, we can now offer students violin (or viola; a slightly larger violin) lessons with our new instructor Anne Speed. Anne will guide students with her fun and flexible approach, tailoring lessons to suit each individual’s, or groups, abilities.
Hires are available in 1/4,1/2, 3/4 and full size instruments. Students must have completed a minimum of recorder level 1 or 9 yrs old before enrolling in violin beginner lessons.
