Under the new Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) (Fire Safety, Evacuation Procedures and Evacuation Schemes) Regulations 2018, building owners must ensure an adequate evacuation procedure is in place.

Participants will often attend this training following completion of a practical fire extinguisher course. These courses are both half a day, and are usually scheduled on the same day, one following the other.
Fire and Safety Training also train Industrial Rescue squads for industry, including Fonterra, Silver Fern Farms and the Alliance Group.

We travel to most paces in New Zealand to deliver courses on-site. Our courses are all NZQA approved and can be tailored to your specific needs. We also provide a range of specialist services to support industry.
Courses
Courses include working at height training, confined spaces and gas detection, hazard identification, rescue team training, dangerous goods license endorsement, breathing apparatus, fire extinguisher and evacuation warden training, handling hazardous substances and health and safety representative courses.
Our Trainers
Our trainers are all from industry backgrounds with extensive experience. Courses are lively: our trainers engage course participants with a blend of the required theory and hands-on realistic practical experience.

Certified Fire Evacuation is a consultant working in the fire evacuation industry, who has met the prescribed criteria and accepted by FPANZ as a Certified Fire Evacuation Consultant.
Non-Warden fire safety training tends to be ad hoc or limited to induction training. This can leave team members vulnerable and unsure what to do in an emergency as many tend to rely on Wardens for instruction.
In the event of a building evacuation as a result of a fire, the role of Fire Warden is crucial to the safety of all building occupants. During an evacuation, the Building or Chief Warden represents the New Zealand Fire Service until their arrival and therefore has authority over occupants.
Gain the knowledge and skills to effectively use a fire extinguisher, through our traditional Live Fire Extinguisher Training. This course is designed for anyone, from those that have never been trained to use a fire extinguisher, to those that just need a refresher.
