After much anticipation, and with continued support from our community, we now have a beautiful teaching kitchen for our cooking classes! We welcome you to join in our new cooking classes with local and native French-speaking chefs.
The mission of Alliance Française Mpls/St Paul, an independent chapter of a worldwide organization, is to serve our community by promoting the use and appreciation of French language and cultures through language classes, cultural programs, social events and information resources.

History:
Founded in Paris in 1883, the Alliance Française promotes French language and culture. Worldwide there are over 1,135 chapters in 138 countries, with 130 chapters in the United States.
The Alliance Française is the largest cultural network in the world. Each Alliance Française is governed locally and is operated as an independent, non-profit, non-political, non-discriminatory organization.
Learn to cook a delicious French meal under the guidance of our Kitchen Social chef. From compound Truffle Butter, to steak to crème brûlée, you’ll escape to the Eiffel Tower for the night.
French Cooking class is offered by The Empowered Kitchen. We offer cooking classes that focus on nutrition, affordability, environmental sustainability, and how to reduce food waste in the kitchen!
There is no need to miss out on delicious treats when baking gluten-free! In this class we will be making two French classics: Chocolate Eclairs and Madeleines.
Head over to The Curious Kitchen to cook up some Cajun favorites & fun. This menu will add some spice to your life as we whip up this amazing meal together!
Get a taste of Southern French fare with a menu featuring regional favorites such as: Spring Greens with Champagne Dijon Vinaigrette, Socca de Nice (traditional French chickpea ‘crepes’), Pan seared Beef with Dijon Pan Sauce, Provencal Vegetable Tian, and Caramel Glazed Berries.
