Join our chef to learn to prepare tarts, filled with light custard cream and Lemon & Chocolate or Fresh Fruit. Students will also practice preparing French Madeleines, a perfect accompaniment to any cup of tea or coffee.
As a trained French pastry chef, Simon likes to concoct exquisite desserts with a unique blend of flavors and textures. Creating a new pastry is always a challenge, but the excitement of presenting it for the first time to food-lovers, family, and friends is the driving force. He is most passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with everyone he meets.
A French Escapade is offered by Valerie"s French kitchen. In this 2-hour class, we will cook together an entrée, a side dish, and your choice of an appetizer or a dessert.
Whatever you want to call them-hors d'oeuvre, appetizers, tapas-small bites are true partygoer favorites. Join us in the kitchen and learn the techniques and recipes for preparing a varied selection of impressive bite-sized treats that are just as perfect for your next get-together.
At the end of class, we all sit down to enjoy the meal together and if it makes you more comfortable, you may opt to take your portion to go. You are welcome to bring beer and wine to enjoy with the class and meal.
