When we arrived in Seattle on April 21st, 2016, it was a warm day. Spring flowers were in full bloom, locals were sporting tank tops, and though I didn't know it, my life was about to change.
The next day was a stark contrast. Gray skies, light rain, and a damp chill in the air. I made my way to Pike Place Market and it was love at first sight. I spent nearly four hours winding my way through the market.
Bouquets of colorful flowers dazzled my eyes with their warm colors. There was the slight smell of the sea, combined with the rich scents of food being prepared in a nearby stall.
The downstairs held random treasures, some old and some new. It did not take me long to fall under the market's spell and know for certain that I wanted it to become part of my life.
Thai food is extremely popular and one of my favorites, yet it’s often loaded with added sugar. In this class, we will make a curry that capitalizes on healthy fats, is gluten-free, and contains a much lower amount of added sugar.
The future of food is green! In this 1-day class you will create delicious meals showcasing vegetables, protein-packed legumes, whole grains, and fruits as the center of your plate. Work with chef instructors to learn techniques, ingredients, and recipes focused on a more sustainable and healthier.

Join Chef Dee for this hands-on cooking class where we'll be making Ahi Tuna with Avocado Ginger Dressing and Cilantro Brown Rice. These are two recipes that do not require the oven, so they're great for summer cooking. And, they're healthy, delicious and easy to make.
In this class, you will learn the art of using dried chilies, citrus bath, and walnut sauté to transform your veggies into art.
