Cucumber, Avocado and Feta Salad;
Greek Chickpea Soup;
Greek Shrimp Bake;
Greek Yogurt Lemon Pudding.
Amy’s passion is to create the perfect meal, from appetizer to dessert, and inspire home chefs to bring these ideas into their own kitchen.
Amy Sokol has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Health Education from the University of Texas at Austin. She has taught at the elementary and college levels. Amy currently teaches cooking classes in her own instructional kitchen.
She has taught and lectured at Williams-Sonoma, Sprouts, local health clubs, fitness stores, and community continuing education courses. In addition, she has taught along side physicians and nutritionists and provided presentations for corporate wellness programs. Amy’s recipes have been published locally, and several have been published nationally in Cooking Light magazine.
Her biggest accomplishment though, is cooking delicious and nutritious meals for her family and friends. She reads extensively on the subjects of food, cooking and nutrition. She also enjoys special occasion cooking and party planning. Amy loves to cook and loves to teach, combining the two is her dream job.
In this class, we'll combine fresh ingredients in the healthiest possible way to recreate traditional dishes but totally guilt-free! This class can be vegetarian upon prior request!

A taste of the mediterranean in this fun class! We will make the menu together and enjoy the fruits of our labor! On the menu: spanakopita, leg of lamb with lemon roasted potatoes , herb roasted eggplant with feta and tomatoes, baklava.
Join us and explore flavors from all over the Greek isles. Get plenty of hands-on experience marinating and grilling chicken souvlaki, making tzatziki sauce and brightening pilaf with fresh herbs. And just when you thought baklava couldn’t get any better, we’ll mix it into homemade ice cream.
Gyros cooking class is offered by Cookin' Class. Unlike other establishments, at Cookin’ Class your meal is made by you–for you. Depending on the class, all cooking will be done by you and your party. We pre-portion all your ingredients giving you more time to enjoy your experience.
