IATA Consultant Course
(Duration: 6 months)
This course enables you to understand the more complex operations of the travel and tourism industry, and helps you to adopt a consultative approach to selling travel and tourism products. It equips you to handle all major aspects of the travel agency business.
It gives you the ability to give accurate advice to customers on major tourist destinations, create customised itineraries, construct complex fares and routings, and apply advanced IATA fare construction principles. It also provides you with sound knowledge of the Billing and Settlement System (BSP).
IATA Travel and Tourism Consultant Course is the second of the three diploma levels. By succesfully completing this course, you will be qualified with the Travel and Tourism Consultant Diploma and entitles you to use DTTC after your name.
Usually, the consultant course is done after completing the foundation course. However, it can also be done directly. After successfully completing the Consultant Course you have the option to enroll in the Harvard Manage Mentor Programme to further acquire leadership and management skills.

She had started her school way back in 1997, under the name and style of "Chavara School of Tourism Studies", on the premises of " Chavara Cultural Centre", Kochi. The school achieved an IATA / UFTAA Authorised Training Centre status in May 2002. Later she shifted her school to a new premises and re-christened it "Kannanthanam School of Tourism Studies". The school continued to enjoy the authorisation status.
