DurationJazz is a continually changing and ever evolving genre encompassing many styles such as Broadway, musical theatre, hip hop, funk and lyrical to name a few. ATOD have a new and innovated syllabus which encompasses all styles from foundation jazz to the latest moves.
Classes incorporate warmup and stretches, floor and corner work, turns, kicks and jumps, historical steps, combinations, progressions and dances.
This fun syllabus is designed to technically develop students, build strength, energy and attack, whether on a recreational or advanced level.

The Dance Institute offers all RAD Ballet grades from Pre-Primary to Advanced, all NZAMD Jazz and Contemporary Levels and all SADTA Modern dance Levels as well as specialised Stretch and Strengthen classes.

The jazz dance classes at Shore Dance follow the American Jazz Dance Affiliation (A.J.D.A.) syllabus.
We start new students with a year of Beginner Jazz, a structured and informative introductory year.
For 4-6 year olds. This is a fun, engaging class which consists of warm ups, barre exercises, centre exercises, progressions and dances to engaging funky music. This class provides a fun introduction to modern jazz dance. This class is based on the NZAMD Pre grade jazz syllabus.
