L.O.D follows the American Jazz Dance Affiliation (AJDA) Jazz syllabus and offers classes for all ages and abilities.
DurationThe NZ syllabus provides a strong, classic and stylised foundation in Jazz. Students participate in exams and can choose to continue their training in a career-orientated pathway or purely for their Love of Dance.
At L.O.D we offer high-quality dance lessons in a warm nurturing environment. We pride ourselves on caring for children on an individual basis within the classroom setting.
All students are offered the same opportunities to participate in syllabus examinations and performances. We find this approach provides a more supportive and rewarding experience than the competitive dance environment and gives all students the chance to excel and reach their full potential.
Jazz is an exciting dance form. With comprehensive warm ups, stretches, floor work, progressions from corners with turns, kicks and jumps and fun combinations.
We are a dancing school based in Upper Hutt – offering lessons in tap, ballet & jazz.
For 4-6 year olds. This is a fun, engaging class which consists of warm ups, barre exercises, centre exercises, progressions and dances to engaging funky music. This class provides a fun introduction to modern jazz dance. This class is based on the NZAMD Pre grade jazz syllabus.
Commercial Jazz has become one of the most popular dance styles in recent years, mainly due to its popularity on television shows, movies, music videos and commercials.
