Each year, we offer two 7-week cooking classes for students at Thomson ages 9-12. These classes focus on healthy eating, how to follow recipes, and how to shop for food (via a trip to a local grocery store).

HCA returned to in person community kitchens in 2023, in partnership with Thomson Community School to use their nutrition room to house us while we waited for our new space to be ready. Community Kitchens were held twice weekly, once for parents to attend and once for youth to attend, these were well received with the youth having a waiting list. The community kitchens were and continue to be an opportunity to come together to create various tastes while addressing food insecurity and the need for connection as we learned from one another. We created, we ate, we learned and enjoyed one another’s company and conversation. Thank you Elder Sharon for taking the time to join us. A hands on 5-day baking camp for kids 4 & up! Kids will learn how to create cakes, cupcakes, cookies etc. from baking to full decoration!

Little Chefs Academy offers hands cooking classes for children ages 3 to Eighteen. We offer weekly hands on-classes, after school enrichment program, birthday parties, summer camps, P.A day programs and school field trips.
