The Howick School of Music offers lessons for: Violin, Piano, Cello, Viola, Double Bass, Harp, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Guitar, Drum-kit, Recorder and Music for 5-6 year olds. The Howick School of Music offers lessons to the wider community of Howick, Bucklands Beach, Pakuranga, Botany Downs, East Tamaki and nearby suburbs.
We provide group lessons to children 5-12 years of age and private tuition for the advancing student 13 years and older. The Howick School of Music is home to the Howick Youth Orchestra and HSM Concert Band as well as providing orchestral and band opportunities for younger players.
These classes provide an affordable option for learning music theory in a group setting. Classes will run depending on interest and require a minimum of 3 students so bring a friend and join the fun!
Commitment to regular attendance is important so that the class can progress together.
We are excited to announce a new and unique music programme which allows students to learn to play their instrument in the most fun way imaginable.

Concert Ba classes are offered by Whangarei Youth Music. Good communication and input from the student is important to an enjoyable experience.
