Soundworks Music School has been around Palmerston North since 2007, initially led by Liz Locke, but now owned and managed since February 2021 by Rhys Davies Smith, teacher of guitar and drums.

I teach a wide range of pupils: from my youngest students in P1, all the way up to retirees; from absolute beginners through to ABRSM Diploma. I also have experience of working with pupils with particular learning needs; such as dyslexia, autism and PDA.
Learning anything musical is a great choice. Music often makes people happy, whether they're involved passively or actively. If you can learn to play, write, produce or record music, you're basically set (on a positive trajectory) for the rest of your life.
