Soundworks Music School has been around Palmerston North since 2007, initially led by Liz Locke, but now owned and managed since February 2021 by Rhys Davies Smith, teacher of guitar and drums.

Dynamic, interactive and comprehensive, Christchurch Music Academy’s Junior Piano classes are based on the Encore-on-Keys holistic piano & musicianship group course for 5 and 6 year olds – designed to teach all-round fundamental skills and train your child’s musical ear.
Piano workshop are offered by Taranaki Music Education Centre for all ages and skill level. These workshops are elementary and from these the student can progress to individual lessons.
The school provides Ministry of Education subsidised group music lessons for primary and intermediate age school students
This program results in fast-paced development and a solid foundation from which to build in any musical direction.
