The Modern Musicianship series was created by the acclaimed Helen Hobbs Jordan, an exacting New York music teacher who instructed generations of performers in ear training and theory, including Melissa Manchester, Bette Midler and Tony Bennett.
Students are encouraged to learn their favourite songs and are taught the skills necessary to begin piano improvisations from the platform adopted from the series.
