It is important that the pupil is able to practice between lessons either at home, school or other convenient location if progress is to be made. Nemco does not provide drum kits but practice pads and sticks may be purchased. School instruments are used during lessons.
Pupils may wish to move to tuned percussion after learning kit for some time.
Nemco was formed as an independent company in 1995 as a workers co operative. Since then, we have been providing school based instrumental music lessons, musical ensembles and performance opportunities throughout the region.

Drums classes are offered by The Drum Academy.You have privacy and comfort whilst you learn at the Drum Academy as our lessons are taken on high quality, acoustic drums with each spacious dedicated studio equipped with computer, sound system and internet.

We use electric drum kits at the Academy, but you can also practice on an acoustic kit at home. We find that being able to plug a set of head phones into the electric kits makes them an attractive option at home!
