Why we get stressed/where these responses originate
How to manage the connection between emotions and feelings
The main factors influencing and impacting on how we develop and grow, including emotionally
Thinking errors and thinking skills/helpful thinking
Practical stress management techniques to prevent and manage stress
Why you should sign up
This session is aimed at those involved in staff management, wellbeing, development and performance – HR; Wellbeing; OD; Managers – who wish to gain a better understanding of what we mean by stress, how it can affect us and what we can do, as individuals and from an individual perspective, to prevent and manage it. We’re reminding ourselves here how resourceful we are and can be, how stress is not an inevitable consequence of difficult and demanding circumstances and in addition, how we can go about preventing and mitigating the negative feelings we may experience. This is an empowering message for staff and for the organisation. (Please note that to maximise the scope for participation and interaction, delegate numbers are limited to 16)
About
Hello there from Marc Kirby at Stress Management Plus! I am a coach and trainer, and work with individuals and groups, to support you to deal with and overcome feelings of stress, worry and anxiety: to better manage your emotions and be resilient.
I’ve been training and developing people for over 30 years, and in this specific role since 2003, initially as a staff counsellor in government.
Coaching and training sessions take place face to face at my offices in Reading, Berkshire, or Guildford, Surrey; via Zoom or in-company at your premises
I believe that we all have it within ourselves to discover/re-discover how to be resourceful and resilient, and live our best lives. Life gets in the way sometimes, and we can get in our own way too, thinking and behaving in unhelpful ways, and experiencing unpleasant emotions that prevent us being who we are/want to be.
This approach ties in well with the essence of coaching, which is based on the principle that our well-being is down to ourselves, and we are responsible for it. This is a positive concept in that it means that we have the means, the power and the influence to change our situations if we can work out how to do so.
Do get in touch if the above resonates with you – it would be great to work with you.

This helps to stop the cycle of panic and the feel...
We need a certain amount of stress to survive - it makes for quick reactions, dynamic thought and the ability to cope with change and challenge. However, we also need to do something when our stress levels exceed those which are good for us. If we are under too much stress our well-being suffers an...
