Learn how to prepare and present authentic sushi with a simple and demystifying approach. Sip green tea while we make miso soup, Japanese salad, sushi rice, California rolls, inside out rolls and tuna & salmon nigiri.
Your group will be divided into teams to prepare the chosen menu. each team works with a chef/instructor who will provide instruction and assistance to ensure a successful outcome.
everyone enjoys the fruits of their efforts at beautifully set lunch or dinner tables.
events are 3 hours long and may be held during the day or evening.
Here’s how it works:
choose a menu for a 3 hour session for 20 to 180 people. a minimum of 20 people is required for a daytime event and evening event.
costs cover full-course meal, still and sparking water, recipe booklets to take-home, lots of information and lively conversation.
wine and beer: you may bring your own wine and beer to the event (special occasion permit from the lcbo required). we can provide sommelier services for your group for an additional cost.
Accomodating your Group
Sessions are held at the held at the market kitchen at st. lawrence market in downtown toronto. we can accommodate groups of up to 80 people.

upon booking, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the date, payable by visa, mastercard, amex or corporate cheque. the balance is due the day of the event, upon confirmation of the menu and final number of attendees at least 7 days prior
Our Sushi course explores the traditions of sushi through hands-on practice. Create perfect sushi rice and master knife cuts as you craft a variety of different sushi styles (including maki, nigiri, chirashi and sashimi).

Toronto celebrity chef Sang Kim teaches the basics of sushi-making to Teens. Participants make sushi rolls using ingredients prepared by the Chef and eat their own creations.
Taught by chef Russell Auckbaraullee, co-winner of the “best sushi” title at the 2015 Toronto Sushi Festival, classes cover making sushi with meat, veggies, and fish, as well as knife-sharpening and safe food-handling and storage.
