Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap
Tap dance is all about the rhythm. Dancers will use their feet like drumsticks to create rhythms and music as they dance. Beginners will learn the fundamental steps and basic movements, and intermediate and advanced dancers will transform these basics into complex rhythmic choreography
Beginner dancers are welcome to come in with little or no background in Tap and may range up to dancers who have Tap danced in the past and would like to revisit. This class will focus on reintroducing and fine tuning fundamental Tap steps and technique.
Tap Dance Classes are offered by Wissahickon Dance Academy. The school’s curriculum meets the needs of the casual dancer as well as the dancer on track for a professional career.
Teen Tap class is an advanced level class that enables students to use their advanced tap vocabulary to work on musicality, coordination, and speed of movement
