DurationThe Beginner Level 1 Course is designed for those who have not danced before or for those in need of a refresher. They are popular dances that will enable you to perform confidently on the dance floor at any wedding, cabaret, social dance or club.
Classes are held over consecutive weeks [5-7 weeks dependent of public holidays] with one lesson per week running for 55 minutes each. All courses include FREE access to all general social dance nights to enable practice of what has been taught.
Gilkisons is a new age environment of social dance with a twist on the old fashion stigma that was dancing for years,using modern music,lighting and sound,with a fully licensed bar and air conditioned premises.
The name GILKISONS has been synonymous with the dancing scene since 1931. Many innovations were pioneered by GILKISONS such as teaching at high school and primary school level, television teaching and presentations, learning to dance socially without having to do exams or medals, producing the Festival of Perth championships and other international dancing events at the Entertainment Centre.
