This class is a must for those of you looking to completely upgrade your skills and learn how to cook a new repertoire of delicious BBQ recipes.
The cooking school chefs will run through the BBQ essentials including sourcing great produce, delicious marinades, cooking temperatures and different cooking techniques for each type of meat.
They will also show you how to use the hot smoker and fire up the 200 year old French oak wine barrel smoker to demonstrate how easy smoking food can be.
We will also highlight how versatile a BBQ can be by cooking homemade pizzas, grilled vegetables and how to cook the perfect steak as well as grilling larger joints of meat.
At the conclusion of the BBQ demonstrations we will move indoors to the large dining table and eat the dishes with freshly made salads, finishing up with a delicious dessert.
A selection of beer and wine will be served with each dish. The day begins at 10am for coffee and freshly baked pastries and will conclude around 4pm.
There is a growing awareness of the importance of eating well. With the rapid rise of fast foods and processed foods over the past 50 years many people have forgotten or never learned how to cook proper healthy meals.
We want to change this trend and show people that cooking healthy nutritious meals can be fun, quick and easy.
We share our passion for cooking using the best ingredients possible and show you that cooking doesn’t have to be a chore but can be rewarding and a lot of fun.
From planning a menu to sourcing the best ingredients, where to shop and how to stock your pantry a day with us will leave you feeling inspired and indulged.
Additionally we highlight how easy and economical it can be to grow your own produce and emphasise the importance of eating together. Ultimately we want to bring ‘real’ food back into everyday life.
In this class, you will be greeted with a cup of hot and nourishing kimchi and tofu stew that you can enjoy whilst you settle into the class and hear all about the health benefits of eating kimchi and other fermented foods.
Ah, bulgogi… the queen of the prom. This is another well-known Korean dish, second only to kimchi probably.
Join Cecilia on a taste journey where you will learn how to cook a diverse range of Korean dishes. Kim chi, bulgogi, gugelpan, darkgalbi, gal bi jim and bipimbap are some of the dishes that may be covered depending on the interests of the class.
Kimchi is a spicy Korean side dish created from salted, fermented vegetables, usually cabbage and radishes. It gets its unique kick from a paste made of chilli powder, garlic, ginger, red pepper and sugar and its recognizable tang from fish sauce.
